FLAT OVAL DUCT FITTINGS
When your space is in need of new ductwork, you don’t have to look much further than oval ducts. But to ensure you reap all the benefits of your new oval ductwork, it’s important to have the right fittings in place.
While many applications are well suited to round spiral duct, sometimes (often due to tighter available space) oval ducts will be requested. And, if you are using flat oval ducts, you will need oval fittings.
At DC Duct & Sheet Metal, we understand the need for an efficient, space-saving airflow solution. And all of our products adhere to the current Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors’ National Association (SMACNA) guidelines. If you have questions about oval fittings or transitioning your building over to oval ducts entirely, we’ll be happy to help.
If you can draw it, we can make it.
Save Space in Your Building
Space is a commodity that we don’t always have enough of. So if you want to make the most of the space you have, oval fittings are going to be an excellent solution. Round ducts might take up more space than you want – even rectangular ducts can take up more space than you want them to.
When you switch to oval ducts and oval fittings, you might realize just how much space you actually have. And if you’re worried about existing fittings that are rectangular or round, it’s possible to invest in oval fittings that transition from rectangular or round into oval.
More Efficient Airflow
When air passes through a rectangular fitting, it’s hitting so many harsh angles that airflow isn’t the most efficient. The harsh angles create more friction, which in turn means air doesn’t get where it needs to go quickly enough. With oval ducts and fittings, though, there’s less air friction and fewer harsh angles for air to get slowed down.
All this means your warm or cool air gets where you need it to go much faster and with much less fluctuation in temperature.
